Miami-Dade Schools Police were searching Friday for a man with active arrest warrant on charges including lewd and lascivious molestation on child under 16.
Joan Humberto Marcelino, 44, may be driving a 2001 blue-green Daewoo four-door with a Florida tag of 925 WNL, authorities said.
"He is out on bond, bond that has since been revoked from a small city up in north Florida," said Charles Hurley, Miami-Dade Schools Police Chief. "His activities since being released under bond status down here in Miami-Dade County, in particular the area of Hialeah, has since revoked that bond because it required him to refrain from any contact with minors."
Hurley said Marcelino has a Ph.D. degree in some type of clinical field.
"Our concern is that he could be working in some capacity in the private sector where he could access children," Hurley said. "Someone like this should have no access to children."
Marcelino has an active warrant out for the following charges: lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 16, lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child under 16, unlawful sexual activity with a minor and indecent exposure.
No other information was available about the details of the case.
