Massive Shark Swim Caught on Tape

Chopper pilot's iPhone captures a thousand sharks in Palm Beach

Stay out of the water!

A helicopter pilot making his way up the coast captured quite a sight in Palm Beach: thousands of sharks swimming together in clear waters about 100 yards from shore.

Pilot Steve Irwin was flying at about 80 mph when he whipped out his trusty iPhone and recorded a few seconds of video of the massive group of sharks swimming together.

Large groups of sharks massing together is not uncommon this time of year as they migrate and head for warmer waters. But the amazing footage is a little more rare.

Irwin, who spends most of his time flying for the Island Marine Services in Fort Pierce, may have to quit his day job if National Geographic comes calling.
