The search for an armed person at the Shops at Merrick Park prompted a lockdown Wednesday of the outdoor mall in Coral Gables.
Footage from Chopper 6 showed Coral Gables police vehicles setting up a perimeter at the mall off of LeJeune Road and US 1.
The armed person was later found and identified, but police determined there was no threat or crime committed.
The mall has since reopened.
