Sisters Accused of Attacking Clerk at Miami Beach Walgreens

Two sisters from Massachusetts are facing a long list of charges after police say they attacked a Miami Beach Walgreens worker with a bottle.

Danajah Buckmire, 23, and Vennesia Buckmire-Husbands, 34, were arrested Saturday on multiple charges including aggravated battery, disorderly conduct, discharging a deadly missile, disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer.

According to arrest reports, the sisters from Boston were at the Walgreens on 66th Street and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach Saturday when the incident happened.

Surveillance video caught one of the sisters “yelling and waving a bottle”....”flailing her arms”....causing “employees and patrons to be in fear for their safety," the reports said. And the store clerk was “struck by her spit, popcorn and Gatorade" and he said they were spouting “offensive remarks about his sexuality," the reports said.

According to the reports, the sisters became upset over how the clerk treated another customer. The clerk received a small laceration on his right forearm from the bottle, the reports said.

In court Monday, Buckmire-Husband’s bond for all of the charges was set at $6,500. Buckmire's total bond was $14,000. The sisters also got a stay away order from that Walgreens in Miami Beach and from the store clerk.
