Some South Florida Starbucks to Serve Craft Beer, Wine

Craft beer, a curated wine menu and shareable small plates are coming to some South Florida Starbucks locations this week as part of the chain's nationwide "Starbucks Evenings" menu.

A Seattle location was the first chain to feature the Evenings menu. The Seattle-based company launched Evenings to give customers a place to gather later in the day.

The menu features savory small plates with perfectly paired wines and craft beers. A few of the available menu items include Truffle Mac & Cheese, Artichoke & Goat Cheese Flatbread and Meatballs with Tomato Basil Sauce. According to the website, the Evenings wine and craft beer selection varies per region and is a "reflection of the tastes in a variety of regions across the U.S."

About two dozens stores nationwide will feature the Evenings menu, including seven in South Florida. Those locations are:

  • 9560 Harding Avenue in Surfside
  • 9700 Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines
  • 101 Northwest 136th Avenue in Sunrise
  • 3349 West Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach
  • 6111 Lyons Road in Coconut Creek
  • 226 Clematis Street in West Palm Beach
  • 10925 North Military Trail in Palm Beach

According to research from Mintel, Starbucks customers are two times more likely to drink craft beer than the national average, and 70 percent of Starbucks customers drink wine, as compared to 30 percent of the general population.

Through the expansion of the Evenings program, Starbucks believes they are giving customers a place both to start and to end their day.
