Student in Custody After Brief Code Red at Hollywood School

A student was taken into custody after a high school in Hollywood was briefly placed on code red Monday morning, authorities said.

Hollywood Police officers initially responded to a call of a trespasser at South Broward High School, which was placed on the code red as a safety precaution, officials said. Footage showed a large police presence at the school, as well as an ambulance.

Police later said a student was taken into custody, and the code red was lifted. No threats or weapons were involved, police said.

No other information was immediately known.
