South Florida Man, 72, Struck During Photography Dispute: Police

A 72-year-old South Florida man says he was taking photographs of a park's scenery and wildlife when he was accused of photographing nearby homes and struck multiple times.

The Palm Beach Post reports 54-year-old Michael E. Cosgrove of Lake Park was arrested Monday. He's charged with battery on a person age 65 or older.

North Palm Beach police say the fight happened at Lakeside Park.

According to an arrest report, the victim told officers he was taking nature photographs when Cosgrove approached him and began harassing him.

Police say Cosgrove accused the man of photographing nearby homes. Police say the man took a picture of Cosgrove, prompting the suspect to hit the man and knock four of his teeth out.

It isn't clear whether Cosgrove has an attorney.
