The South Florida man who feeds the homeless on a weekly basis, made sure Wednesday was no different. Arnold Abbott, the homeless advocate, provided holiday meals to dozens on the night before Thanksgiving.
Every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., Arnold Abbott and his army of volunteers can be found serving up delicious meals for the homeless.
The day before Thanksgiving came with all the fixings, and a few extra meals from Chick-fil-A.
"It's another holiday and I love the fact that people are going to go home with full stomachs. That's the only thing that's important to me," Abbott said.
This holiday, there was something a little extra for those in need. Boxes of clothing were handed out along with the meals, every serving greatly appreciated.
"It's nice to know there are places to go in town where you can eat. People are kind enough to bring food so they can do that," Scott Renfroe said.
Abbott also has his hands full trying to stop the City of Fort Lauderdale from keeping him on the food line for the homeless.

It's been one year since his arrest for feeding in public. The ordeal isn't over. It still needs to be sorted out by the courts.
In the meantime, Abbott proves he won't stop, "I'm hoping other people realize that the only thing there is, is love in this world that's worth while."
Approximately 150 people were served meals on Wednesday.
