Despite lackluster records, home team football fans in South Florida show lots of love.
Miami is ranked as the 15th best city in the nation for football fans, according to a new study by WalletHub.
The study compared 244 U.S. cities with at least one college or professional football team, and ranked them across 17 key areas including “number of NFL and college football teams” and “fan friendliness.”
Tampa was ranked 19th the list, while Jacksonville fell into the 30th spot.
The Miami Dolphins finished the 2016-17 NFL season with a 10-6 record, clinching their first trip to the playoffs since 2008. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished 9-7, while the Jacksonville Jaguars ended with an unfortunate 3-13.
Although the Dolphins, Bucs and Jags won’t be participating in Super Bowl LI, football fans in Florida will most likely be tuned in.
