A data breach in which the credit card information of an estimated two million Jason’s Deli customers was possibly compromised effected several South Florida locations, the restaurant announced Thursday.
Officials said the two stores – located in Pembroke Pines and Plantation – were among the 164 stores across the country where information was collected and later put up for sale on the “dark web” as part of a larger amount of personal information that was found by security officials.
In total, 12 locations across Florida were listed among those where breaches could have taken place.
The Texas based chain says it has been working with cyber security experts and forensic teams as well as law enforcement to “investigate and contain” the breach.
