Three Teens Accused of Robbing, Carjacking Pizza Delivery Driver

What to Know

  • Three teens are accused in an armed plot to rob and carjack a pizza delivery driver.

Three teens have been accused of armed robbery and carjacking a pizza delivery driver in North Bay Village.

Prosecutors said a fake pizza order was placed at a local Papa John's Pizza. Neon Fatale, 16, is accused in the plot and appeared in bond court on Friday.

According to Miami-Dade officials, Papa John's Pizza received a call for a delivery request. The pizza delivery driver approached the drop-off location but saw masked men sitting on a bench.

The driver continued driving to avoid the masked men. She drove around the block and returned to the delivery address – where she saw the men take off their masks and flag her down.

The suspects then pointed a gun at the driver and ordered her to exit the vehicle, which they then stole, according to prosecutors.

Police arrested the suspects shortly after the vehicle was stolen.

Fatale is being charged as an adult, possibly facing a life-imprisonment sentence. He is being held without bond.

“These are some very serious charges against you ... and you’re very young," a Miami-Dade County bond court judge told Fatale.

Detectives are still developing a case against the other two unnamed suspects, according to officials.
