A dispatcher with a Southwest Florida sheriff’s office has been suspended for two days after admitting to telling a 911 caller to “get rid of it” when refereeing to evidence that later turned out to be marijuana.
NBC affiliate WBBH-TV reports that Lee County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher Amanda Kinzler will be suspended both Wednesday and Thursday as well as be on probation for six months after the August 18th incident.
Kinzler was questioned after the incident involving Fort Myers Police at a home, in which she called a man and told him to “get rid of it” before later texting on her personal phone “You need to call me now, ASAP, now…or I’m getting a felony.”
