Stars From Broadway, TV Host Benefit For Parkland Shooting Victims Monday

A show of support for the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting took place Monday night with some of the biggest names from Broadway and television.

"From Broadway with Love: A Benefit Concert for Parkland" was hosted at the BB&T Center.

Some of the stars who appeared include former “Glee” star and Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony Award nominee Matthew Morrison, Golden Globe winner Rachel Bloom, award-winning recording artist Deborah Cox and more.

"These kids are expressing themselves about, you know, their friends dying. On the one hand, it’s tragic, but on the other hand, as an artist to watch these young kids use music as an outlet for these huge feelings that they must be having ... I’m thrilled that they have that," Broadway performer Donna Lynne Champlin said.

Some of the songs performed were written by students at the school who survived the February 14th shooting that killed 17 students and staff while injuring over a dozen more.
