‘Stopwatch Bandit' Behind Miami, Miami Lakes Bank Robberies Arrested: FBI

Davion Eugene Clark, 25, was arrested Friday night in Miami Gardens and is facing federal charges

A thief dubbed the "Stopwatch Bandit" after he robbed two South Florida banks on the same day has been arrested, FBI officials announced on Monday.

Davion Eugene Clark, 25, was arrested Friday night in Miami Gardens and is facing federal charges in the two bank robberies, officials said.

Investigators believe Clark robbed a TD Bank at 16200 Northwest 57th Avenue in Miami Lakes on Thursday morning, then robbed the Chase Bank at 175 Northwest 199th Street less than an hour later.

During both robberies, he entered the bank and demanded money from an employee, showing the employees a stopwatch app on his cellphone that appeared to be counting down, officials said.

Clark remained in federal custody Monday, and attorney information wasn't available.
