Store Owner Dumped Man Out of Wheelchair: Police

A Daytona Beach convenience store owner has been arrested after police say he dumped a disabled man out of his wheelchair.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports that 56-year-old Sauod Dahoune was charged Tuesday with felony abuse of an elderly person without great harm.

Police say Dahoune demanded that a 55-year-old disabled man leave his store, grabbing the man's wheelchair and pulling him out the door.

According to the police report, once at the edge of the curb, Dahoune picked the back of the chair up and dumped the man onto the ground.

Two witnesses helped the victim get back into his chair.

It was not immediately clear whether Dahoune has an attorney who could be reached for comment.
