Nasty storms blew the roof off of a Fort Myers Beach resort Monday.
A portion of the roof at the Outrigger Beach Resort flew off one building and landed on another, NBC 2 reported.
The roof blew off around 4:30 a.m., maintenance workers said. No one was injured and it was unknown how much it would cost to repair.
The Outrigger is 144-room hotel on the Gulf of Mexico.
The incident comes as Tropical Storm Emily quickly formed in the Gulf off the Florida coast near Tampa Monday morning. A tropical storm warning issued earlier Monday included Fort Myers.
