Stretch of I-75 Reopens in Miami-Dade After Truck Hits Bridge

A stretch of Interstate 75 in northwest Miami-Dade was closed Monday after a tractor trailer struck a bridge, officials said.

A vehicle carrying equipment hit the bridge at Northwest 154th Street, closing I-75 north between the Palmetto Expressway and Northwest 138th Street.

The lanes reopened a few hours later.

Florida Highway Patrol officials said the driver of the truck left the scene but troopers found him a short time later. He was given a notice to appear in court for failing to stop at the scene, officials said.
