Residents in an area of western Palm Beach County are cleaning up after strong storms - ones that produced an EF-0 tornado according to the National Weather Service - came through Monday morning.
Several structures were damaged, including homes and trailers, across The Acreage – an area west of Loxahatchee. The chopper for NBC affiliate WPTV flew over shortly after the warning was lifted at 6:30 a.m., where the screens from one home’s pool could be seen destroyed as well as fences and trees on the ground.
Crews are in the area working to restore power and no injuries have been reported.
