A student at Miami Norland Senior High School was transported to the hospital after falling from a walkway.
It happened Monday afternoon at the school located at 1050 Northwest 195th Street in Miami Gardens.
Miami-Dade Schools Police said a ninth grade student attempted to jump from one ledge to another and fell from the second story, down approximately 16-feet.
Police said he landed on his feet.
The 13-year-old was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood to get medically cleared.
The extent of the teen's injuries has not been released.
