A Miramar High School student was arrested after an AR-15 rifle was found in his car on school property, authorities said.

Anthony Barrow, 19, was arrested at the school at 3601 S. Douglas Road Monday afternoon, according to a Miramar Police arrest affidavit.

According to the affidavit, the school's principal and security specialist told police Barrow had a weapon in his possession.

When the officer searched his 1997 Ford Expedition, they found the AR-15 on the floorboard, the affidavit said. Two fully-loaded magazines containing 60 rounds were also found, the affidavit said.

Barrow was booked into the Broward County Main Jail on a charge of exhibiting a weapon on school property.

He appeared in bond court Tuesday before Broward Circuit Judge John Hurley, who found probable cause and set Barrow's bond at $1,000. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.
