Sunshine and Scattered Clouds in South Florida Friday

Highs in upper 80s, rain chances drop drastically

Early temperatures in the 70s will climb to highs in the mid and upper 80s Friday as South Florida can expect more sunshine and scattered clouds.

A shower or two is possible with the onshore breeze, but rain chances have dropped drastically from where they were Thursday. A drier airmass will spread over South Florida, which will further help suppress shower development.

High pressure over the southeast will dictate weather for Friday and the weekend. Most dry weather will continue Saturday with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s.  Winds may reach 20 mph from time to time, so expect breezy conditions.  As a result, the rip current risk will increase.

It will not be as breezy Sunday. A few showers may push into the area on Mother’s Day, but much of the day will still feature dry conditions. Highs will peak in the mid and upper 80s.
