New surveillance video was released showing a man impersonating a police officer and robbing and assaulting a woman early Sunday morning in Coral Gables.

The incident took place near the intersection of Bird Road and Aurora Street. The video shows a man on a skateboard coming back and talking to the female victim.

The man allegedly exposed himself while patting the victim down before forcibly removing what looks to be a cell phone from her. After the victim ran away, the man put down the item and left the scene.

Police believe the man is between 25 and 35 years old, between 5’8” and 5 β€˜10” with a muscular build and shoulder length brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black crew neck T-shirt, camouflage cargo shorts and black sneakers, wearing a two-tone backpack.

The unidentified man faces charges of strong arm robbery, impersonating a law enforcement officer, and indecent exposure.
