A sheriff's office K-9 in Central Florida was fatally shot while on the job Tuesday night.
Volusia County deputies had been on the scene investigating a CrimeStoppers tip in the city of Deltona when a man drove by recklessly twice.
The man then fled to a wooded area, and was eventually spotted by a helicopter.
