Police were searching for a suspect who reportedly crashed a truck into a school after a brief chase in Miami Gardens Wednesday morning.
The incident began when police spotted a vehicle wanted in connection to a burglary and the brief chase ensued.
The suspect reportedly tried to ram an officer's patrol car twice before he crashed into Carol City Elementary on Northwest 173rd Drive.
Police set up a perimeter as the suspect bailed out of the vehicle. Opa-locka and Miami-Dade Police were assisting Miami Gardens Police in the search.
No other information was immediately known.
