Suspect Taken Into Custody in Miramar After Abducting Woman in Miami: Police

Police took a man into custody Wednesday after he allegedly abducted a woman from her home in Miami.

According to Miami Police, they responded to an abduction call that began at the 1700 block of Northwest 31st Street in Allapattah.

Police said a mother called them after her daughter's boyfriend, 30-year-old Javier Cardenas, showed up at her home and took her against her will. 

The investigation revealed that Cardenas lived in a trailer park in Miramar. Police arrived at that location and found the victim there. She was not injured.

Police said Cardenas was taken into custody in Miramar. It's unknown what exact charges he may face.
