Suspect Wanted for Allegedly Pickpocketing Elderly Man at Publix

Pinecrest Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly pickpocketed a 94-year-old man at Publix.

It happened at the location at 13401 Pinecrest Parkway on Dec. 29 at about 2:40 p.m.

Police said the suspect followed the victim while in the store, and bumped the victim's lower back when he bent down to grab cans of cat food.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 50s, 5'7" and 170 pounds. He was seen wearing white pants, white long sleeve shirt, green neon-colored sneakers, yellow neon-colored vinyl backpack, glasses and a flat cap.

He was captured on the store's security cameras following the man down an aisle.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
