Suspects Arrested After Crash at Hallandale Beach Police Station

Authorities are investigating after a police pursuit ended in a crash at the Hallandale Beach Police parking lot early Tuesday.

The crash happened sometime around 5 a.m. at the parking lot at 400 South Federal Highway. Footage showed one car overturned and another badly damaged and a palm tree knocked over.

Hallandale Beach Police officials said officers were conducting a traffic stop of a suspected stolen car, a Toyota Camry, with four people inside.

One of the four people got out of the car to speak with the officers and the other three suddenly took off, hitting an officer, officials said. The officers was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The Camry somehow ended up in the police parking lot, where it struck a parked car and the tree.

The suspects were quickly taken into custody. Police haven't identified them or said what charges they may face.
