Scuba divers are being warned of a recall involving a type of tank pressure system that could burst under pressure.
Suunto has identified a potential risk for all wireless tank pressure transmitters and tank POD’s, which transmit tank air pressure to compatible dive computers, according to their website.
During several incidents, the exterior case of the transmitter failed during dry land pressure testing. While the company said this is rare, the risk of injury still exist.
Customers who have either product can return them to an authorized dealer for a free inspection or upgrade of their unused items. Suunto will offer free battery replacements and a one year warranty on all upgrades products.
