Officers in Miami Beach have taken a person into custody after reports of shots being fired near a home in the city.
SWAT members were at the scene before 6 a.m. near the 1500 block of Drexel Avenue, saying hostage team negotiators attempted to make contact with someone inside the building but had not located any victims.
When they arrived, investigators say more shots were fired and backup was called before the suspect jumped out of a second floor window and was taken into custody.
