SWAT members were able to end a situation involving a barricaded man inside of a property in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood.

Officers arrived at the scene near Northeast 2nd Avenue and 56th Street around 4 a.m. after getting a call from a woman requesting help. Miami Police confirmed there was a domestic incident between the woman and a man inside, but would not confirm their relationship.

After the man did not come out, SWAT units were called to the seen and worked to end the situation. They were able to take the man into custody shortly after 7 a.m.

Officials have not released the identity of either person involved or additional details about the case, but did say there was a history of domestic violence incidents at the location.
