Swimming Advisory Lifted for Several Beaches in Miami-Dade

State officials have lifted the swimming advisory for several beaches in Miami-Dade County after satisfactory water quality test results.

The swimming advisory that was issued Sept. 6 for Crandon South and the advisory that was issued Wednesday for Golden Beach, Sunny Isles, Surfside, North Shore, 53rd Street in Miami Beach, Haulover South and Crandon North were lifted Tuesday, according to the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County.

The advisories were issued after high levels of enterococci, a fecal bacteria, were found in the water.

There are no swimming advisories in Miami-Dade County at this time.
