Tannehill Leads Dolphins To Big Win in Chicago

Ryan Tannehill had one of the best games of his career in the win on Sunday

The Miami Dolphins rebounded from a tough ioss with a 27-14 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

With the win, Miami is now 3-3 on the season and very much alive in the playoff chase. With a weak division, the Dolphins sit in third but within striking distance of first. The New England Patriots are in the first place, however Miami currently holds the tiebreaker over them with a game left between the teams.

Ryan Tannehill had a big game for Miami with two touchdowns, and 277 yards in the air. The quarterback threw 25 of his 32 pass attempts successfully and had a 123.6 rating on the day. Most of the production for Tannehill came in the first half where he was 14-15 for 176 yards with both touchdowns.

Tannehill did not only post numbers in the air as he was also explosive on the ground, The QB ran for 50 yards on four carries. One of the runs was good for 30 yards itself and Tanenhill actually led Miami in rushing yards in the game.

With Knowshon Moreno gone for the year, Lamar Miller continued his role as the primary running back, MIller didn't have a great game however as he only tallied 61 yards on 18 carries. Miller did take one into the end zone for fourth TD of the year, all of which have come in the past three games.

On the receiving end, Charles Clay and Mike Wallace each caught a TD pass from Tannehill. It was the first of the season for Clay and the fifth for Wallace. Clay also led the way in terms of receving yards with his 58.

Reshad Jones picked up his first interception of the season in a game where Miami won the turnover battle 3-0. The Dolphis forced Bears QB Jay Cutler to fumble the ball twice and he lost one. Dante Rosario also lost the ball once for Chicago.

The kicking game was one poor note for Miami in this game. Caleb Sturgis missed two field goals including one that was blocked in the fourth quarter. At the time, Miami was at the Chicago 19-yard line and was looking to pad the lead. The earlier kick was a 50-yard attempt that Sturgis was wide right on. Sturgis did successfully kick two field goals and three extra points as well.

The Dolphins will head back to Florida for next Sunday's game when they take on the Jaguars in Jacksonville at 1:00 p.m.
