Teen Arrested for Double Shooting in Miami: MDPD

The Miami-Dade Police Department has made an arrest after two teens were shot last week.

A 17-year-old from Miami now faces charges in the case. Since he's a minor, his name will not be released by NBC 6, unless he's charged as an adult.

The shooting happened on Nov. 20 in the 2400 block of Northwest 57th Street in Miami.

Police said Shania Lowery, 16, and Dayvon Davis, 15, were outside of a home when they heard multiple gunshots. Lowery was struck in her legs, and Davis was grazed on his knee.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported Lowery to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition, where she was treated and released. Dayvon was treated and released on the scene.

Police said through leads, investigators were able to locate the suspect.

A motive has not been released.
