Teen Brought Weapons, Pills to Coconut Creek High School: Police

A South Florida teen is facing charges after authorities say he brought weapons and drugs to his high school Monday.

Dyuan Damon, 18, is charged with two counts of possession of a weapon on school property and two counts of drug possession without a prescription after he brought a box cutter and brass knuckles to Coconut Creek High School, according to an arrest report.

The report said he also had four pills of Lithium-Carbonate and three pills of Fluoxetine without a prescription.

Damon appeared in court Tuesday where he was ordered held on $2,000 bond. His mother and grandfather attended the hearing and said the teen is suspended and can't go back to school for 10 days.

The judge allowed Damon to go back to school when his suspension is complete.
