A teenage boy was airlifted to the hospital after a crash involving a pick-up truck and a bicyclist in Pinecrest early Thursday, police confirm.
The crash happened just after 7 a.m. at Southwest 120th Street and 69th Court in Pinecrest. Police have not yet released details, but do indicate that the vehicle remained at the scene.
Police say the teen is a student at Palmetto Senior High School. He was airlifted to Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, alert and conscious.
The extent of his injuries are not immediately known.
