Authorities are searching for a group of thieves who were caught on camera beating and robbing a man in Deerfield Beach.
The violent robbery happened the night of Dec. 1, as the 20-year-old victim sat outside the Pompano Lakes Townhomes' clubhouse at 321 Northwest 46th Street, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
The victim said he was approached by four young men with bandannas covering their faces. They stole his Kindle Fire, cell phone, backpack and skateboard.
When the man tried to fight back, the robbers started kicking and punching him, and hit him across the back with his skateboard, officials said.
The video shows the suspect approaching the front of the building, but the beating takes place just out of camera shot.
The suspects ran to a SUV and fled the scene along with a getaway driver.
Detectives are searching for the suspects and are asking for anyone with information to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
