A Miami-Dade family was robbed during a home invasion after opening the door for a group of men who said they were police officers, Miami-Dade Police said.
The incident happened early Thursday morning at 18695 SW 291st St.
According to police, four white Hispanic males wearing all-black knocked on the door and claimed they were cops. The men never showed badges or identification, police said.
The family inside opened the door and came outside as instructed but were forced back inside by the men, who pulled out guns, police said.
The group of thieves demanded cash and ransacked the house. It's unclear what they got away with, police said.
The victims, a husband and wife and the woman's mother, suffered minor injuries, police said.
