Police confirmed they have arrested another student in Broward County for allegedly making a social media threat against a school – the third such arrest since Wednesday’s tragic mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested the 15-year-old in Lauderhill on Friday night after being notified of an Instagram post where he allegedly said he was going to kill people at several schools.

The teen, who was charged with a felony for sending a written threat, claimed his post was a joked aimed at "scaring" his cousin, officials said.

In the days that followed the Parkland school tragedy, arrests were made of an 11-year-old girl who confessed to writing a threatening note to an assistant principal at Nova Middle School and a 17-year-old teen who allegedly made social media threats to Piper High School in Sunrise.

Police did not release which schools were listed in the latest arrest.
