This weekend, Miami Beach will be a little more colorful as more than 100,000 people from around the world are expected to celebrate equality.
The eighth annual Miami Beach Gay Pride is taking place April 8-10 and it's about bringing together members of the LGBT community, along with friends, families and supporters.
"Everyone's coming together, the community, just to celebrate being who they are," said Richard Murray, Pride Executive Director.
The free, weekend-long event has grown every year. Its purpose is to bring together members of the LGBT community and its allies.
"Gay, straight, everybody's just here to have a good time. It's become a world attraction," Murray said.
"I love the parade, just seeing all the floats going by. Everything like that, all the dancing and everything," said Selwyn Hunt, volunteer.
Gay Pride kicked off Friday night with a VIP reception at the W. Saturday, there will be a beach party and festival booths, and on Sunday, there will be the parade with thousands of participants, including NBC 6, a proud media sponsor for Pride.
The festival also features more than 100 businesses that support the LGBT community.
National radio talk show host Elvis Duran is this year's Grand Marshal, and there will be numerous celebrity appearances such as Jordin Sparks and Iggy Azalea.

Earlier this week, Pride kicked off with a ceremonial flag raising at City Hall, and the unveiling of a new rainbow street sign at 12th Street and Ocean Drive.
