Thousands Possibly Stolen from the Safe of Downtown Miami Strip Club

There were no signs of forced entry at the club, according to the police report.

Police are investigating a possible theft of $42,480 from the safe at the Gold Rush strip club in downtown Miami.

The incident was reported to police on March 27, when an employee noticed that the safe’s key and three digital video recorders  were missing from the manager’s office, the report said.

The strip club is currently closed, and the employee who reported the crime told The Miami Herald that the closure had nothing to do with the alleged robbery. It is unknown when the club will reopen.

A telephone call to the club on Tuesday during normal business hours rang unanswered.
