Three Arrested After Chase on I-95 in Miami-Dade County Following Hallandale Drive-By Shooting

A drive-by shooting in Hallandale Beach led to a police chase on Interstate 95 that ended with three suspects in custody in Miami-Dade County Tuesday.

Hallandale Beach Police said three people were injured in the drive-by shooting, which happened near Northwest 10th Street and 10th Avenue, one block south of Pembroke Road.

Police say one victim drove himself to the hospital and two others were transported from the scene, one of them in critical condition.

Officers were notified that a vehicle containing at least one person of interest in the shooting had fled the scene and was traveling south on I-95.

Eventually, MDPD were able to get the car to stop in the middle of the interstate. One passenger fled into oncoming traffic, eventually jumping a fence and injuring himself before being taken into custody. A second man also fled, but was apprehended quickly and a third was taken into custody without incident.

No other details were immediately known.
