Several of Florida’s biggest universities found themselves placed in the top five of a list that students may not exactly end up bragging to their parents about being on.
A study from the website Seeking Arrangements, which brags about setting up so called “Sugar Daddies and Mommas” with students in need of financial help to pay for school, places the University of Central Florida as having the second highest increase in number of students who registered on the site last year.
The Orlando based school had nearly 300 students, or “sugar babies”, register in 2018 alone as part of their nearly 1070 students currently listed on the site that attend classes there. UCF placed third overall in total number of students, behind New York University and Georgia State University.
Florida State University and the University of Florida placed fourth and fifth respectively in the number of new students on the site last year, with FSU having the seventh highest number of total students registered.
The site, which promotes what they call “relationships on your terms” between members, released the latest numbers in an effort to showcase the issues of rising tuition prices and student loan debt.
