A toddler was hospitalized after they were found unresponsive and floating in a pool at a Miramar home Friday morning, officials said.
The incident happened at a home in the 3400 block of Acapulco Drive, Miramar Police said.
According to police, an adult was taking care of another adult when they both realized the child wasn't around. They saw the door was opened and found the child, who is just under 2-years-old, floating in the pool.
The child was pulled out and one of the adults performed CPR until rescue workers arrived, officials said. Police said the child was in the water for about two minutes.
The toddler was taken to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and was breathing, police said.
Miramar Police have classified the incident as an accident.
