Tornado Touches Down in Boca

No building damage reported after twister spotted in South Florida

A team is surveying damage after a tornado touched down in South Florida.

Mike Bettwy, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Miami said Wednesday that there are no specific reports of building damage from the tornado that touched down briefly in Boca Raton at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Some trees had branches snapped and a large tree was uprooted.
