A new multi-million dollar resort in Hollywood Beach will soon be open to the public.
Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort boasts an array of amenities. But the most impressive may be the elaborate water recreation area.
When you walk into the resort, it'll feel like a tropical paradise. Inspired by the lyrics of Jimmy Buffet's songs, the resort and hotel has made its home right on the Hollywood boardwalk.
"This has been a long time coming and we are thrilled to be opening our doors," said Cate Farmer, general manager of the resort.
It's been seven years in the making. So what can guests expect?
"The project has 18 stories of great guest rooms. 8 food and beverage outlets and restaurants and a spa, fitness, three pools, recreation, paddle boarding. Just a destination resort," Farmer said.
The resort is just steps away from the beach or you can relax by the pool and cabanas. And then there's the activities. You can even get your surf on at the flowrider.

Some critics may be skeptical but the general manager said they hope their guests will help enhance the community on the boardwalk.
"2.8 miles of really charming shops and restaurants really add to that allure and I think our guests will enhance and visit those venues and likewise, vice versa," Farmer said.
There are also touches of Jimmy Buffet everywhere. From his song lyrics to decor like a margarita glass chandelier and even a sea plane, and of course, don't forget the delicious restaurants, bars and live entertainment. The resort hopes to offer something for everyone.
The resort is welcoming its first group this Wednesday, and will begin taking reservations on Oct. 1.
