Tourist Filmed Up Woman's Dress at Miami Beach Market: Police

An Italian tourist who was caught filming up a woman's dress was arrested on a video voyeurism charge in Miami Beach.

According to police, 28-year-old Filippo Fiorentini is accused placing his iPhone inside a shopping basket to record under the victim’s skirt at the check-out counter.

"I mean, what kind of pervert does that, you know, you're doing your groceries like in a family spot," victim Sarah Lemay said. "I mean, I think it's completely wrong."

The victim noticed and told an off-duty officer who was working security at the store, police said.

"I'm there looking at my items, looking at like raw mushroom pie and the guy's coming up next to me picking up raw mushroom pie, like I'm thinking 'you obviously don't eat that, what are you doing?'" Lemay said. "Like literally looking at every item I was picking up and getting close to me and putting his basket on the floor close to my feet to the point where I would literally fall back because the basket was so close to my feet."

Fiorentini was arrested early Tuesday at the Whole Foods Market on Alton Road, Miami Beach Police said.

Fiorentini admitted he recorded the video and was taken into custody, police said. He was later released on $5,000 bond. It was unknown if the tourist has an attorney.

"I wasn't expecting him to actually go to jail for it," Lemay said. "But I think America takes the law seriously and I think that's a good thing because he could be doing that to teens or young kids or stuff like that."
