The FBI is searching for a man they say has robbed seven banks in six states over the last three weeks – starting his alleged crime spree in South Florida.

Officials released photos of the man dubbed the “Traveling Bandit”, who they say started with the Capital Bank in Aventura on December 28th before allegedly robbing banks in North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Illinois and Utah.

The agency says the subject approaches the counter with a note saying he has a weapon and demanding money before leaving in a white SUV, described as either a Ford Explorer or Expedition.

No one has been hurt in any of the incidents.
