A tree trimmer who was electrocuted while working on SW 12th Terrace Tuesday afternoon has died, authorities said.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue went to 2661 SW 12th Terrace at about 3:20 p.m. after getting a report that the man had been shocked, city of Fort Lauderdale spokesman Matt Little said in a statement.
Coworkers helped the unconscious victim to the ground, and crews treated him on the scene before taking him as a trauma alert to Broward Health.
Florida Power & Light has been notified about the incident, Little said.
