Man and Woman Arrested After Stabbing at Miami Beach Home

Two people were arrested after police say an argument outside a Miami Beach home led to one person being stabbed Sunday.

According to the arrest report, Tiaijia Hilliard and Brandon Jackson, both 25, were taken into custody and charged with one count each of battery with a deadly weapon after officers responded to the home off Pine Tree Avenue shortly after 3 p.m.

Police say that Jackson, who along with Hilliard is from Louisiana as both had been staying at the Miami Beach home with a longtime friend for several months, had an argument with another resident of the home Sunday afternoon.

The two men began a physical fight when Hilliard grabbed two knives and stabbed the victim three times in the back. That victim was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Hilliard also stabbed the homeowner’s left hand when he tried to break up the fight, but people did not say if that victim was hospitalized.

Jackson, according to the report, grabbed the knives away from Hilliard but continues to argue with the victim – even holding one knife to the victim’s chest. Eventually, police arrived and arrested both suspects with Hilliard admitting to her role in the incident.
