Two people were injured on Friday when two boats collided near an island by Haulover Park, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The incident occurred near the Haulover Park Marina on the Intracoastal Waterway. The two injured persons were transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Aventura Hospital & Medical Center with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, FWC said.
"There were 5 occupants on one boat, it is unknown at this time how many were on the second," FWC said, adding that agencies "could not confirm at this time if it was a hit and run incident."
